HIPPIDY HOP SNOW ANGELS! How is everyone???
Not much to report from us social boys. We're pretty much wrapped up for this semester now and plans are already being made for next year! This thursday there'll no doubt be a few of us down at Revs for a pint so if you want a break from revision or have already finished then pop along - we'll be upstairs most probably.
Just on a note about the Xmas trip, if any of you lucky travellers are getting the coach from Edinburgh on the 4th and fancy joining us for a drinks (and grub!) the night before then keep tuned to the facebook page for details or drop me a fb message - nothing like a bit of gin and pre-trip bonding to prepare yourself for 30 hours on le coach!

XMAS TRIP!!
Believe it or not its nearly 3 weeks until Xmas Trip!! As everyone is laden with exams at the moment we won’t laden you with too much info, apart from the essentials like…

Make sure you pack for these nights:
1. Un Bazaar du Bizarre
2. ToyBox!
3. White tshirt ( does what it says on the tin)
ROOM ALLOCATIONS:
ROOMS FIT 4-5 PEOPLE IN!
Room allocations are done online whereby you log in to your OTP Booking account (using the link in your booking confirmation email) and select the ‘TRAVEL&ROOMS’ tabs. Here you will be able to put you and your group of friends into a room. You can see the room numbers, and persons already booked into that room, but not location so Im sorry we can’t guarantee they are near to each other! Best thing to do is get your group or most of your group together and book into a room at the same time. Book early to avoid disappointment.
COACH TIMES:
Coach allocations are done by room allocations nearer the date, and you will be sent an E-Ticket with your coach number on it. YOU NEED TO BE AT YOUR PICK UP LOCATION AT LEATS AN HOUR BEFORE LEAVING.
Pick up locations for 4th January:
Edinburgh: CSE, Pleasance
London: Chafford Hundred Train Station *KEEP AN EYE ON THIS* if you are leaving from London this location may change so make sure you read your e-ticket correctly.
Dover: Ferry Port Car Park
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Baggage allowance is similar to that of an aircraft, the coach only has a limited amount of hold room for baggage and is not allowed to travel over loaded. There is a strict baggage maximum size of 1 main bag up to 50 cm X 50 cm X 100 cm and an allowance of 20 kilograms per person, Plus ski carriage if you have paid for it.
Each passenger is permitted to bring ONLY one piece of baggage per person as the coach will be at full capacity. Your luggage MUST be transported in a soft bag/hold all, no over sized hard cases. If you do bring a hard plastic suit case you will be asked to empty the contents into an alternative bag and requested to leave the hard case behind.
(A quick note on ALCOHOL. That thing we know and love)
The consumption of Alcohol in EXCESS is strictly forbidden for the duration of the coach journey as it is ILLEGAL when travelling in France. You are permitted to have a few drinks while travelling through the UK, however please remember glass bottles of any type are not permitted on the coach at any
point. If you are considered too drunk to board the coach at the point of departure or you drink too much while on the ferry you will not be permitted to continue your journey. Those misbehaving on the coach or ferry will be evicted at either Dover or Calais and will have to make their own way home. OUCH! So just keep it legal.
ONCE WE GET THERE:
Every lovely person in an OTP jacket is there to help, day or night, so if you’re not sure about what on earth is happening, why the sky is falling or why two really is the minimum, just grab one by the arm and quiz them. Once you arrive you will be shown where to collect your room keys and then EVERY NIGHT your reps and some committee wonderers will be round around 6pm (so try to be in your rooms) with all the information about whats happening, when where and with whom. Maybe even some gossip. So feel free to plow them with booze, it’s always funny to see a drunk rep.
